promises

this is a brief part of my life. summarized of course.

dont tell me what i want to hear
darling dont be afraid dont live in fear
tell me what needs to be told,
you cant sell something that cant be sold.
sitting in the corner confined and free,
that my friend is the place for me.
as your rumors spread quick like fire,
im wearing thin like a tight rope wire.
i promised her i woulld stay strong,
what happened for things to go this wrong?
i dont break promises, not ones like this
even though tragedy struck in a moment of bliss
picking up the pieces wont be easy
just thinking about it i am getting quite queasy.
stand strong like stone.
realize that i am stronger than i have shown.
i will prove to myself, i can do this.
even if at first i miss.
nothing will knock me down.
pretty soon things will turn around..
my life will be filled with pride and joy,
i will be happy again boy oh boy.
