When I get lonely for you I close my eyes and dream.

In my dreams I see you standing there.
The wind blowing through your red hair.
Awhile my heart beats strong and alive.
In my dreams I'm happy and never cry.

But when I awake my dreams are gone.
The hurt and pain will soon come along.
My world is lonely without you my dear.
Come back and make me happy here.

I can't remember the last time I smiled.
Been happy or laughed for a little while.
Life is hard to live since you have gone.
Maybe one day I can sing my old song.

As I grow older my yearning is stronger.
I'll loose my strength if I fight any longer.
Remember I love you and I always will.
I'll be here waiting until time stands still.

So until the day you come back to stay.
I'll long for your sweet and loving ways.
Come please me I am your best friend.
