Writer's Cramp Entry

This is my Writer's Cramp Entry for the days prompt using the words given.

Worst winter in history
Major power outage
With no regard
For my elderly neighbor
No one could assist her
Not even the National Guard

The snow blower made its way
Unveiling the roads
I searched for my sleigh
To make the best of the cold day

Children were sledding
Over the mounds of snow
I yearned for hot chocolate
Yet without power
There was no place to go

I made the best of the situation
Nothing more could be done
I continued to sled
Til I was so frosty
I sought after my bed
