A poem for my wife.(Winner of: A Poem A Day Contest)

I stare deep into your eyes,
and in that moment I pause.
No pain, misery, or lies.
Perfection. No flaws.

Those brilliant pools of blue
hold me breathless for an eternity;
Our souls interlock, me and you.
A sweet embrace and I am free.

Our eyes part, we steal a kiss,
sweet as nectar, lips barely touching.
Time stops for a moment such as this.
Your embrace, your touch, my everything.

We speak no words, enough is said.
I drift off to sleep, dreaming of you;
I sleep, I lay, together in my head.
We are one, our love is true.

When days are hard and full of dread,
I remember these moments, I think of you:
Your eyes, the kiss, the words never said.
you are the reason I make it through.
