A head turns
Eyes drop
A slight movement
Hardly noticeable
Yet loudly proclaiming
The attitude of our society
Barely disguised
By shallow smiles
Filled with distrust
Of those who are different
We fail to recognize
The Outstretched hand
Of friendship
