How did I get into this?

I should never have taken the blue pill.
Alright, Morpheus, that's one I owe you!

Who is Morpheus?
He has many names:
Jesus Christ, Sri Krisna, Muhammad, and Gautama the Buddha
are four of the better known ones.

He also has no name at all.
Also, 'He' is only he in a manner of speaking; nor is Morpheus a she.
Nor yet an it.
He almost doesn't exist.

Actually in our world, he doesn't.

Once he's got you to take the blue pill,
Nothing's ever the same again.
That's when you know he exists.

Of course the blue pill's not really a pill -
it could be anything.

If you're a Zen disciple, it could be
a seriously inconveniencing knock on the head
with a bamboo stick.
Or a word.
Or nothing at all.
