Darkness

basically about the soul being covered in darkness. can be taken in manyy ways

This darkness, it’s getting closer and closer
It’s closing in on me
I don’t know where it came from
I don’t know what it wants
Or why it’s here
All I know is that it’s here
Consuming me
I feel so lost, and confused.
So cold; so out of place
I sit down and hug my knees to my chest
My heart is heavy,
Yet so empty at the same time
I close my eyes tight
Praying for warmth, for a light to shine down on me
To save me
I feel as if I’m falling
As if the floor is dropping beneath me
I get up and run
Hoping I find safety
I run for what seems an eternity
Never stopping for I fear what will happen if I do
The room starts to spin
I lose my balance and fall
Quickly I get up and run
It all becomes too much for me
I let myself fall to the ground
Unaware of what will become of me
As I prepare myself to let go
