The Ultimate Paradise

We sit close with each other
Under the black night sky
The stars shining amazingly bright
Waterfalls cascading gently to our right.

Your cool, small hand is in mine
Our fingers interlaced together
While I watch you watch the stars
Your face the only beauty I need to see.

We lay down, next to the river
Your head on my shoulder
My arm wrapped around you
Our hearts quickly beating.

My fingers trace the contours of your face
Softly trailing over your full lips
Smiling lightly as you bit me
Leaning down to kiss you softly

We smile and laugh having a good time
Talk and chat about everything, nothing
Sit close and stare wonderingly
Into each other’s lovely eyes

I get up, only for a moment
Reaching behind me to get from my pocket
A small square box of plain velvet
And fall to one knee as I look into your eyes

A smile lightly plays on my face
I reach out slowly with the box in place
And ask you softly with love in my words
“Rachel, will you be my wife?”
