A Prayer

a prayer for me

thank you for all you have given me
a beautiful family
for without them i would not be
i have been blessed many times without knowing
and have accepted these blessings without showing
thank you
for my life and good fortune
and that one day i will be worth a fortune
opening doors for me in the right direction
leaving it to me to use my discretion
many choices have been wrong
but some have been right
its hard to stay strong and continue to fight
with the me inside of me
but no matter what
i know you'll always be
next to me
trying to keep my eyes open
and in my heart i'm still hoping
that i can be a better person tomorrow
than i was today
please help me get thru this life
