| Quaint are our little lives, The injustice of fate intertwines. And yet our love derives From what man cannot define Beyond rhetoric and illustration Genuine love never found and often sought As if learning the mystery of man's creation What deterrent example is taught When love results in failed romance But in truth it is my greatest revelation As if for us constellations dance And the world heard my heart's undulations To discover God's greatest illumination Was the uninhibited love he bestowed On lovers despite their blemish. |
