A Kyrielle Sonnet poem for Day 6 of the Fall 2010 Rhythm & Rhyme Poetry Challenge |
** Image ID #2287343 Unavailable ** Leave the cares of the day behind, Sit with me, love, perhaps we'll find, Time to wax nostalgic instead, Let's cast a hopeful glance ahead. Pictures of the past guard our booth, They speak to us of age and youth. Fear not; they praise the life we've led, Let's cast a hopeful glance ahead. My body's aging, yet I'm fine, My spirit is spry for you're mine. Stay by my side and please don't dread, Let's cast a hopeful glance ahead. Leave the cares of the day behind, Let's cast a hopeful glance ahead. Author Note: A Kyrielle Sonnet consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and a non-rhyming couplet).
