Ghosts
run through
his shadowed mind-

Nightmares
he can't
escape this time.

Screaming
'help me!'
will not work

Tonight-
it's dark
beneath his world.

Blood
and roses
touch his face-

Gentle
like a
heart slowing down.

'Help!'-
he can't
stop screaming it-

When
will someone
ever save him?
