Shallow Lies

Argument between me and an ex-friend

My whole world has already died,
I have nothing left to hide-
I thought you could help me from all of my sin but all
you did was push me further in.
All the heartache and sorrow,
The pain is all that's left.
I feel like a shadow.
No one can hear me and no one can see-
I was so happy to call you a friend but now we have
nothing left.
Your smile torments me,
Your voice haunts me night and day-
I imagine your hug-
So warm and inviting.
Emptiness and longing mingle with tears.
It feels like a nightmare gone from bad to worse,
I close my eyes and dream for the better-
Days go by and that feeling is still there.
I can only hope that everything will soon mend-
