Words of Today

This tells of my opinion of conversations that are held daily in our time.

I see the words
        Hear the sounds
But no connection
        They do not flow
Chopped up and thrown together
        Like a broken heart falsely mended
They speak the language
        But do not comprehend
For what is said and written
        Must mesh and cause reactions
Empty words flash around
        Doing nothing to others
Meaning nothing to the speaker
        As well as nothing to the listener
No images or profound messages
        Spout from the thoughts, the words
What is uttered must last
        Leaving impressions on others
Not leaving them quickly
        Replaced by nonsense
I see the words
