Don't tell someone you love them if your not really sure.

I told you I love you,
it lasted about a year.
These feelings I shared with you always brought me tears.

I didn't know how to respond when you told me we were through.
So I guess when I said "I love you",
I should have seen it to,

You were never really there for me.
So tell me, was it true?
Everytime I fell for you, the battles always flew.

These days I used to cherish,
really were so great.
so maybe it was love, I know it wasn't fate.
