A poem about lost love and the struggle to carry on. |
| Dispassionate Set her heart free; she wants to fly, skim the blue waters with her soul. Dip her fingers in its exquisite tide, ready to break life’s turbulent flow. From the sky the water glistens of promises and dreams now forgotten. Her mind successfully scoring a win over her heart, now made of tin. Love will always move within its undercurrents, but reality has surfaced to make her see. That life is not just about her torments, it’s about the defenseless ones glee. Happiness almost washed her off her feet, but life’s hard sand has absorbed her plunge. She has grown within herself, now complete and enveloped herself with imposed numbness. The waters of time could extinguish her flame and only he could have mastered her fire, but life’s path is not for them to tame. Not even destiny plays a role with desire. Forgotten again, she had to set herself free. She is flying away over tumbling waves. Where she is now, no one can see her flee. Dispassionate feelings she has embraced. |
