This was my first poem and the one i'm most proud of. I wrote it when I was twelve. |
| Dreamland By KJ Hammond Upon my pillow my wee head lays I'm visiting Dreamland, a place where every child plays A wonderful land of magic and song A world where fairies and elves dance all day long Enchanted forests, shining ponds Oh my beloved Dreamland But not all of this place is, oh, so nice Hidden in the dark ghostly caves a place for goblins and mice Here the witches and vampires quietly creep And sea monsters dwell in the oceans deep But then eventually the morning sun shall rise And it will be time to open my eyes Back to the world of work and school But also of babies and swimming pools That world is nice, for a while at least But how i'd much rather play In Dreamland. |
