The Pain Inside

Feelings and emotions bottled inside for years
Now a sudden release and I cant stop the tears
The words "I don't love you" they cut so very deep
Straight to the heart, it even hurts when I sleep

The thought of your love lost doubles me over in pain
I fall to the floor, the tears start pouring again
To never feel your touch or your heart race in your chest
As I tenderly touch your face with a loving caress

It scares me to think that I've lost you for good
I neglected your feelings unlike a true lover should
But the haze is all gone, I now see clearly through my eyes
If you give me one more chance you will be made happy,
for the rest of our lives
