The Darkness

i really liked this poem, so i hope you like it too :)

In the darkness, there I laid
With no confidence, to persuade
Without anything filling my heart,
Leaving it shattered, and torn apart.
What's that light, that I seem to fear?
Is it a sign, that my death is near?

As I closed my eyes, and left the world behind,
I felt so much pain, I could lose my mind.
Was this the end of my pitiful life?
Filled with sorrow, and meaningless strife.

Is a life with little happiness, not my fate?
If I be good now, will I still be late?
Why was i hated?
Was i ever loved?
