Back Pain

I could call it back pain.

I could call it back pain
or the weight of gravitating
toward the center
of the earth after 22 years
or
22 beers, but

I think I'll call it my personal
self catastrophy,
the cost of breathing in,
and sometimes I want a bail out.
So,
I exhale one more time,
crack my back and keep sinking
closer
to the ground.
