i wrote this for my mom for her birthday to express how I really felt about her.

Love is like a star
Bright and colorful
Always shining through the darkness
You can see love in only a few people
but know one of them is you
know that every time I see your face
I see the brightness, the colorfulness
The inner star in you
The care and effort you’ve put into making me who I am
The help you’ve give me to get through
Every problem
Every mistake
I see the beauty in which you careIn every breath you take
So now today, I want you to know
How I feel about you
And you alone who is special to me
Deserve to know the truth:
You are my star
My bright and colorful star
And you always shine through
My darkness.
