Who I am

comparing who I am to the beauty of life

I am the leaves falling from a tree that is changing for a new season,
I am a cloud in the sky floating by waiting to be recognized,
I am a ship sailing across unfamiliar waters,
I am a bird waiting to be taught how to soar among the greatness of the sky,
I am a snowflake falling from darkness hoping for a soft place to land,
I am Spring ready to show off the colors that had been forgotten,
I am a mother seeing a brand new world through the eyes of her new born child,
I am the grass that remains green, due to the constant giving of water,
I am the laughter of a child, as they fly higher and higher among the swings,
I am a warm cup of cocoa and a hot fire, shared among two lovers,
I am “The Forever” promised to never love another again,
I am my past, my present and I am my future.
