A poem for standing up

Haven't you been told that society holds you down

You have, so why are you wasting time putting on a frown

And don't blow me off talking about this is the same old song

That you have been hearing forever,you should have learned

It's time for you to be or you wiil get burned

God gave you a beautiful voice now use it

Cause I'm telling if you don't society will abruise it

Look I now you think you got all the time in the world

That is your way of letting society keep you jailed

I know you are tried of hearing my voice

Just take this in to mine

If you don't speak for yourself noone will

I have said all I wanted to say I just

I just hoped you listened
