How Long Will I Love You

This poem was inspired by my husband.

How long will I love you
sayeth my heart
on breathless sighs
I will love you beyond death
when tears from Heaven I can no longer cry-

I will love you beyond reason
poetic rhyme
I will love you through all ages
from sanctity of time-

In good times or bad
within shadows of sin
no matter what, how, or when-

I will love you until the very end
because you are my gift
my very best friend-

So keep me close
upon your heart
for in doing this
we will never part-
