Listening to my heart, with all my heart and soul

In complete stillness
At the dawning of each day
As I lie between my slumber and awakening

I can feel my heart beating
I listen intensely and deeply
I hear the calling
I hear the knocking

The Author of Life and Love beckons me
Sometimes He summons me to let Him in
To open up and surrender fully to His pleas
To get to know Him better
To walk with Him closer
He whispers to the very center of my soul

Sometimes He summons me to let Him out
To share His love that is within me with others

Each beat assures me that He is with me always
Without love, there can be no life
And without life, there can be no love

Live to love...and Love to live
I will answer His call, with all my heart and soul
