A poem about loneliness and sadness |
| Moonlight Becomes Her Moonlight becomes her As she walks in the night Counting lost hours By the starlight Slipping through shadows Ever alone The moonlight becomes her As if its her own Autumn quite suits her As she kicks through the leaves She wanders despondent And inwardly grieves The golden red russet Floats down all around Yes autumn quite suits her Laying dead on the ground Rain gently soothes her As she wanders forlorn The path in her mind So very well worn Waiting and watching The solemn grey clouds The rain gently soothes her In billowy shrouds Loneliness owns her As she enters the gloom When sunset has faded In her heart-shaped room Inside she is empty So she walks out the door And loneliness owns her In moonlight once more |
