Dead To You

This is what my hands typed. Very insecure about my poetry. Got talked into posting it.

tears fall and tears hurt
nothing can take away the burn
so dont try, just give in
its your life, go live it

you can only help me
as far as i allow you
why not just reject me
and find someone new

many chances came and went
but here you are
steady and strong
without a single bend

you took the road
far less travelled among
you didn't even know
it would be this long

winding and turning
bending and curving
taking you here and there
you, without a care

i know my days are numbered
my death, inside, is near
just give in and listen to the thunder
hold your breath without fear

then release yourself
let it all go
break through the shelf
let your beauty show

just one more word before you leave
no matter where you go
and where you'll be
i love you, you should know
its been here all along for you to see

then no more tears will you shed
no more fears shall you dread
lend me your ear and let it be said
without fear i am dead
