Ones journey of discovering love. |
| Under The Lunar Moon Under the lunar moon The whip-or-will does sing Its sad song seems to ring In my heart I ask a boon For love to take flight To carry my prayers through the night To God's ear on high Is my true love drawing nigh For I have spent many a day Looking for my sweet love To be sent to me on wings of a dove In the end the piper I shall pay For this I have learned a true lesson That love is not to be bound You must search within for it to be found Above all you can't hold it in recession A heart must be free To learn the things of life And get through its strife I finally understand and see She has been there all along Helped to keep me strong Why couldn't I see How easy it was for love to be For I will travel over every desert dune And through Hell's hot fire Over mountains that reach higher Just to kiss her under the lunar moon line count 28 |
