Last November

A flashback memory from when my long distance love and I were together.

I caught myself thinking of you
Oh, how I love to remember
The first kiss we ever shared
In the warmth of last November

We had waited so long to express
Words we could not yet say
Yet underneath your soft caress
I was being swept away

You slowly started undressing me
...I began to do the same
A nervous shiver ran through me..
And I desperately whispered your name

For I was afraid that you would see
The ugliness which I wanted to hide
You smiled and said I was beautiful
And that you'd prove the truth tonight..

Your touch traced over my contours
Across my skin, your breath would fall..
And in between my awkward imperfections
We made one shadow on the wall

My body slipped into your soul
Your lips, grazed against mine
I clutched your hand so tightly
As you made me feel alive

My heart still raced as you held me
Beneath the soft white sheets
You let my head rest upon you
While you whispered "Sweet Dreams.."

I smile as the memory ends..
But can't help but wonder
Of what will happen the next time
We share a magic November...
