This is a story about a girl who grew up without her daddy to raise her.
It all started in Chicago,IL This tall,lighted skinned Black woman with long pretty dark brown hair name Ivylene Price She is from Memphis,TN. She came to came to Chicago in the 1950 to find a job. She live with her cousin Juanita on the south side of Chicago. She found a job at a corner store. She worked as a store clerk. While she was working this brown skinned muscular build man. Who like a boxer his name was Robert Bob Satterfield from St, Louis,Mo. He was a professional boxer name Bob Satterfield.

He came into the store to buy something. He introduced himself as Bob to Ivy. He was from St. Louis,MO. They dated for awhile. They got married in 1960.  Bob and Ivy live in a high rise apartment in Chicago,IL
Robert had two children from his late wife name Iona. His children name Robert Jr. a boy, Iona, a girl. When Ivy got pregnant by Bob five years

The baby was born on March 7,1965 on a Sunday morning. The day the Dr.Martin L.King Jr. was marching in Salem,AL.
The baby was light skinned like her mother. She had a head full of dark brown pretty hair. Bob name her"Bridget". Ivy give her a middle name "Jerlene" after Ivy's mother first name. Bob name "Bridget" stand for "Strength" means to be strong in what you in life. Bob used to take his b girl Bridget to Lake Michigan to swim. Bob would lay Bridget on his stomach swimming in the lake.

While he swim on his back in the lake. Ivy was so afraid that Bridget would fall into the water. Bridget knew she was safe with her daddy. Robert Je. (Little Bob)  used to take his little sister around Chicago for a walk. One day in 1969, Ivy got a phone call about here brother Roger  Price who got killed on his job in Memphis, Ivy's brother Lee Price brought ticket to ride  a train to Chicago to get his sister Ivy and his niece Bridget to ride back on the train to Memphis for they brothers Roger funeral.  They stayed with Ivy's mother,Jerlene a light skinned Black woman. She was a strong woman.

One day Bridget was playing with her cousins  who stayed across the street from their grandmother. This is the story Bridget'c cousin told her how she got hit by a car. after she came home from the hospital. This is what they told Bridget how it happened.
Bridget said,"Who know how to play truth or dare?"
Bridget dared her cousins who can stay in the middle of the street the longest. Until a car comes down the street. Her cousin got out the street. Bridget was the only one that got hit by a car. Bridget was four years old. Bridget don't believe it happened like they said it did,Bridget's think one of your cousins push her in the street to get hit by a car.

She had to stay in the hospital for a month. After she recover from the accident. She started elementary school. These girls from school used to teased Bridget. They thought Bridget better than them. Because  Bridget  was light skinned with long pretty dark brown hair down to her butt and dressed in nice fancy fashion clothes. Bridget would fight these girls back to defend herself. Bridget remembers what her daddy Bob taught her how to defend yourself during a fight.

Bridget's dad  told her not to be afraid of anyone in your life. One day Bridget and Ivy had to go back to Chicago in 1977. Bridget was twelve years old. Bridget's daddy was dying from prostate cancer. Bridget seen her daddy for the last time at his house. He died at the V.A. hospital in Chicago. He was a middleweight/heavyweight boxer. He was famous in Chicago.

At the funeral. It was so many people line up all around the corner of the funeral home to pay their respect to my daddy. Bridget never seen anything like this before. Bridget did not know her dad was a famous boxer  After the funeral,Ivy and Bridget had to go back to Memphis with Ivy's brother Odell and his wife Vera their two sons Odell Jr. and Harold they stop by Detroit to visit some cousin and stay over night in Detroit They drove back to Memphis,

One day the day before Bridget's 13th birthday in March in 1978. She let this neighborhood boy ride her bike.
She tried to stop him from riding the bike. She jumped in front of the front wheel of the bike. She broke her left leg.She had to spend her birthday in the hospital. After  the broken leg accident. Ivy had notice that Bridget's back was
crooked on one side. Ivy taken Bridget to see the doctor.  She had to have spinal surgery, The doctor had to put a metal rod on her spinal to be straight. Bridget was going to the tenth grade in high school.

Bridget had to wear a body cast for a year. After the body cast came off . Bridget graduated from Memphis Melrose high school in 1983. She went  Pasadena,CA for the summer. She had a good time while she was there for two months. She came back to Memphis to go to college. Then Bridget met a man named Raymond Jackson Jr, his dad Raymond Jackson Sr.who wrote music for Stax Record label.in Memphis. Bridget was 18 years old. Raymond Jr. was 20 years old, They fell in love for about a year, They called it quits on their relationship.

Bridget brought here first car. It was a Dodge Challenger. She has some many problems with that car. She called the Memphis Commerical Appeal Newspaper to an for ad car for sale. She was sold the car and she was to a car lot to buy a another car it was a gray Chevette  car.
Then Bridget met this tall handsome man who looks like NBA's Michael Jordan his name was Samuel he also played basketball too.
They talk on the phone every night They fell in love and we to church together..They once Bridget got to know Samuel she did not like what she seen in him. He was a flirty type a man. He also cheated on Bridget during their relationship. Bridget called off their relationship. Bridget did not have a boyfriend for a whole year after her relationship with Samuel..Then one of Samuel's friends called Bridget to tell her that someone shot Sanuel.and he was in the hospital. That dramatized Bridget she could believe it.He did not died he was still alive.

Then Bridget got in her car.and drove over to her friend's house to tell her about it. Then Bridget drove to the store to buy two quarts of Bush beer. Then this person who when to school with Bridget stopped her and ash for a ride to someone's house.He asked Bridget did she have any rolling cigarette papers .She said "Yes" she gave me a few sheets of it. Then she put it back in her wallet. Before Bridget drove off  she check under the drive seat to see if her wallet was still there but it was gone, She drove to the next street to catch that man and she look both ways before she make a left turn here comes a car speeding on the street.

she had a wreck in that car. She had hit the steer wheel and had a collapse lung from a that wreck and was got arrest  for drunk driving she has to stay in the hospital for a couple days.She got a boyfriend who got her pregnant  Bridget had a baby boy name Marlon was born on August 24,1988. Then her old  friend name Bobby from school who came back from college to find Bridget. They started dating and have fun Then Bridget was pregnant she had another son name Marco born on January 27,1994, Bridget got married to Nathaniel Malone in 2000. The six months later her husband died of a heart attack. Bridget doesn't have love. But,she have her mother who had colon cancer and her two son to love. Then Bridget's mother died from colon cancer.
