A poem about the downfall a jealous mind can bring. |
| A jealous mind is easy to keep It can fill to the brim with thoughts that disturb even sleep Jealousy has a talent for clouding judgement And creating illusions that ignite resentment To lovers nothing can do more harm Than the jealous mind, feeding doubts and causing alarm Once the trap is laid and jealousy is given a place It settles in, and slowly works to fill the space ‘Til a head is filled with only sad and lonely thinking Actions are controlled by this continuous insecure feeling Jealousy’s greatest delight is making trust hard to find Everything is seen in a false light in a jealous mind |
