a poem about a man's feelings as his love walks out the door

His heart is drenched deep in sadness since she said her goodbyes
he's infected by the fear you can see it in his eyes
The fear that he's lost her and she's never coming back
love from her is one thing he never thought he'd lack
As the end was getting nearer he felt her slip away
but at the end of the day there was nothing he could say
He couldn't stop her leaving his heart just stopped still
There's no cure for this pain you just cant take a pill
But soon the pain will fade away the feelings will subside
one day he will wake up and realized he's turned the tide
The birds will be singing and will have returned to the tree
time is a great healer he just has to wait and see
