Childish Wishes: Impossible Reach

Nothing more than a poem on a girl's sadness about the world today...

With a single word
the world is thrown into chaos,
With a single thought
my mind falls into deep silence...
Every person in our world,
is lost in confusion, stuck in the darkness that is deception.

Sometimes at night, I feel I am alone in this quest,
In my search for true peace,
I know it will not be found in this time.

Being too childish,
I ask questions that have no answers
and understand little about where I live.

The war for the unknown will be fought!
The winner will be undefined,
as with every battle ever.

Nobody knows, or ever will; the outcome of a fight
that we have no right to partake in.

My wish and hope, my every prayer....
Someday, I know
That there will be heaven on earth
If not in our life, then in the next.

Alone with my thoughts, all the confusion in my heart.
Can it be?
There is no place where solace can be sought?

I can sense it in the distance from
the echoing distant thunder.

For the first time I understand...
As I huddle down and shed my first tears.
