The Rainbow...

A dark poem about a suffocating rainbow...

theres a dark cloud
surrounding a rainbow
it suffocates and drowns
in the thick, blackness
coughing and gasping for air
the rainbow dims and pales
while the storm cloud rages
Strikes of lightning
rolls of thunders
the rainbow shivers and shrinks
til it is almost nothing
it pounds and fights
reaching for something
a grasp to pull
a breeze to blow the cloud away
but every attempt
is thwarted and only makes the cloud
even darker...
