A poem dealing with a youngster's fascination |
| A Shooting Star © 5/22/10 Dr. James E. Martin He gazed into the evening sky With intensity beyond compare. A shooting star shot speedily by, Coming from who knows where. Amazement filled his entire being. Never had he seen this before. He could not believe what he was seeing. What else was for him in store? As he watched it flee from his sight Another, as quickly, did appear. Occurring repeatedly throughout the night Resulting in cheer after cheer. |
