The demon of my mind is haunting me, chasing me.

The demon of my mind is haunting me, chasing me.
Sleep is where it finds me, watching my every move.
I cry for help and realize that there is no one there.
I am on my own in my mind where fear engulfs me.
On a path of self-destruction, taking a left hand turn.
No one understands what has happened to me.
I am so scared. No one hears my screams. No one cares.
The demon surrounds me, taunting me, mocking me.
I cannot do this on my own. I cannot fight this alone.
I am as bare as a newborn child, naked and cold.
This is going to be the end of me and no one knows.
I will lose this battle alone and scared, crying.
