Something I wrote for school again:)

The day you left was the day you took a piece of my heart with you.
My deepest fears became reality.
And I still couldn't stand the insane truth.
It was my emotions I was trying to hide.
Because now you're only a memory lost in the tide.
I'll never know what we could've been in the end.
Would we be lovers or not even friends?
You being gone
Is like a dream gone wrong,
A fairytale without a happy ending,
And sadly a broken heart that has trouble mending.
I never imagined I'd love somebody like you.
It never crossed my mind that I'd lose somebody like you.
