Just Tonight

This is a collection of three poems I wrote about a girl.

I’m more nervous than ever before
I find an excuse to graze your leg
You cover your eyes and I touch your arm
To remind you I’m here
That everything is alright
Can we be together just tonight?
It doesn’t make sense but I know its right
Whenever I’m with you
Forever a fight

Will you hold me?
Something says that’ll make it ok
I know we can’t be together
But here we are
Don’t make me get out of the car
As you drive away I don’t look back
Don’t want to remember what I lack


As I write poems for you in the dark
My eyes well up the pain like sparks
Every day without you is a heart attack
All I want is my baby back
