I am a surgeon
dabbling in alternative medicine
a witch doctor.

I'll use your picture on the mirror,
all the youth and art portrayed there,
the scars on your body and the
gray circles under your gray eyes.

I'll use all the colors and music in you
the hip-hop slow dances
in blue, in red, and white
in gray,
mostly gray

I'll use my hands,
my fingertips, my breath
in your ear
my mouth on your back
and your taste on my tongue

And I'll cut you open.
