A short poem about an inspiring walk through the woods. |
Blood pumping, heart racing It’s a feeling I struggle placing Adrenaline pulsing through my veins Here in the woods, only nature remains A tree! A tree! (Or all that is left) Has been swallowed by the cruelness of death! Its jagged stump pulls north And like fiery Phoenix wings reach forth But in death, comes life Dark new branches have this right Wrapped around the old dead tree These new branches allow me to see I am the Phoenix, reborn When, moments ago I was torn This feeling, the rush From the forest so lush Is the passion and drive Humans need to survive No need for my heartbeat to steady For whatever comes next, I am ready |
