Lies

A poem I wrote in my english 12 class

When I think of all the lies
I start to rethink my life
Wondering why you lied
I sit here and question
My life from start to finish

The day you came from darkness
To the day I changed to light
I think of all the times we spent
cavorting in the darkness
Sins rule your life

While Jesus reigns in mine
I love you more than anything
But this darkness I cannot take
Your aura taints my soul
But I will not stay away

I need you in my life
But I cannot look past the darkness
Which taints your very breath
