A poet with a movie camera

My poem for the INSPIRATIONS contest.

I look into the lens
a deeper look into my life
a dark abyss
hoping for knowledge.
Consuming time
breaking down
into long lost pieces
of sand I have known.
I will find them
one day
for this lens
sees all.
Even into
your
soul.
Time standing still
forever gone
yet saved eternal.
Reflections of myself
finally set aside.
I only see
one single side
of all that I see
don't blame me.
I can be free
of this snaring
if I just
stop looking.
But all I see
is so very beautiful
to me.
