September 12th

written after sept. 11 terrorist attacks. i was disturbed by reactions i saw in the news.

It is a time for healing old wounds and making new ones,
Joining hands in patriotism and bipartisan cooperation
To overturn an interwoven series of treaties written
During an old war, it’s historic dialogue long dead and
Forgotten.

It’s a new type of war and a new battlefield. We will
Unilaterally immobilize evil and once again become
The center of gravity.  Objections have been spoken
By a struggling minority made up of, in part, by
Anarchists and Socialists Who should be wiped out
Like rare birds, pollsters say.

In times of crisis like these, the most helpful thing
People can do is cooperate to the fullest extent with
All agencies, bureaus, and government officials
Involved and for now suppress any complaints,
Thoughts, or actions that may undermine the war
Effort. In such trying times, even Athiests and Jews
Almost certainly pray to Jesus for a better tomorrow.
