Mistaken

A 55 word story.

I heard a baby crying as I walked outside my apartment. I looked around to try and see where it was resonating.There couldn't be a baby inside that car, in this scorching heat. I ran down the stairs, toward the screaming child to realize that I was mistaken. It was a trap.
