Alone

Ever felt alone even when surrounded by others. It can be a scary thing.

Darkness closes in on me.
Slowly, it consumes me.
Emptiness fills my very being.
I can't get away.


Silence.


I shudder though I'm not cold,
but then again,
maybe I am.

I can feel the ice running through my veins,
my heart becoming frozen.

Here I am,
at the core of my existence,
