Couldn't hide, had to face my abuser

Hide Me Not

From pain of a broken spirit I ran,
Seeking a new home was the plan.

Must break , these chains bound from within,
Please send me not where I have been.

Alone and traveling from here to there,
My abuser seems to follow everywhere.

Though in person he might not appear,
Close my eyes,in my mind I see him in fear.

With my health gone from me now,
What is left for the taking anyhow.

My self-esteem lower than thought could be,
Now feeling forsaken, I am on my knees.

Crying out dear Lord where shall I flee,
With no hiding place in front of me.

Wait I found something I once knew,
Strength renewed now I'll make it through.

Stronger than ever before,
Hide me not anymore.
