my confusion with my own self

Drowned in the shadowy darkness
Searching, searching, searching
A light I seek
but none is found
Instead I fall
To the black waters
Endless

Where am I supposed to be?
How am I supposed to feel?
What mask shall I wear for you today?
I scream to everyone but no one hears

I run into the woods of my heart

And I wonder what I'm looking for
As the girl in my head screams

The burning water
