In Your Eyes

    In your eyes, I see all of my yesterdays,
          and our dreams for tomorrows...

    There is no one person, not even the Love of my Life,
          Who knows, Understands,
          Cries for and Protects me.

    I need you to know, to feel
          that through my growth as a Person,
    I understand, appreciate and Love You...

    Not only as a Parent, but especially
          As the amazing woman I've finally come to understand,
    Through my Adult Eyes...

    I wish I could have told you sooner,
          could have asked you more about your life, your loves, your regrets...
    Even though you are gone, with every passing year

    I see how much pain you handled....alone,
          Never asking your children for Support, or
    Wanting them to have to hear about painful incidents from your marriage.

    I wish I could have supported you more often,
          but most of all, I wish I had told you every single day,
    How much I admired, cherished, and loved you...

    I Hope, somehow, you knew......
