The Journey

A brief visit to an almost emotional breakdown.

Energy pulsing through my mind
Nerves tense as I sat there waiting
Joy was left very far behind
Only fear as I started pacing

Yearning for a calming break
Enduring more stress than anyone should
Didn’t know how much I could take
My sanity might perish for good

Yet I survived this great ordeal
Destiny seemed to be on my side
Allowing me to once again feel
Yonder lay my burning pride

Out of the ashes like a phoenix I soar
Facing my fears and so much more
Finding the man who I was before
