Flying Kites

Umm yet another ..

Funky cushions, loud curtains,
Sparkling wind chimes, lavish chandeliers,
Covered the huge, empty, heartless place
She left her hookah puffs and rash drives
Sat near the window, watched the sky go by
Cursed everyone she hated
Sang the whole day, moaned a bit
Wandered aimlessly like any restless soul
Danced with curled curtains and talked to the cushions
Played with the chime bells and stared at the bright chandeliers
Blinded, she tumbled and went near the window
Saw the kids playing, enjoying
Went out, roamed a bit and looked at the kids
Looked above to see the painted sky and flying kites
Prayed for everyone she loved
Sang, smiled and made sand castles with the kids
Walked along the beach and threw pebbles in the sea
Danced with the soulful waves and talked to the sea
Swirled around with the whirligig and smiled at the kids
Hopeful and content, she returned to her place
Still kites and vibrant colors,
Vivid memories and echoing giggles,
Have filled her happy, childish, carefree world .
